Job Role: Projects Manager


Location: Echt, Aberdeenshire

Reports to: Operations Director

Job Description:

The primary function of this position is to plan, direct and coordinate activities of multiple projects to ensure the scope of the project is safely delivered, within the prescribed time frame, and funding parameters.  The Projects Manager will be responsible for liaising with both clients and suppliers to ensure the customer receives a quality product or service which meets or exceeds all of the customer requirements. 


The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to monitor and improve procedures to ensure quality results are consistently achieved. 

Previous experience of Project Management in the Oil and Gas Industry is highly desirable, particularly coupled with experience of a busy workshop or as a service technician. Previous people management experience would be advantageous. Since Legasea is a sustainable organisation, a passion about the environment, the Circular Economy and reducing waste is essential.



Some of the main duties will include:

  • Receive the sales handover for new projects, raising any queries and clarifications

  • Write the Work Order for the production staff, as a step-by-step guide as to how the project should be completed

  • Plan the workload of the project, setting timescales for milestone completion in line with the CTR and capacity

  • Identify with support from QHSE any Health and Safety concerns, including COSHH; LOLER; PUWER and risk assessments

  • Assist in producing any project specific Risk Assessments

  • Source and procure any equipment or materials required for projects, by obtaining competitive quotes and raising purchase requisitions to Finance

  • Monitor actual costs (including hours worked; materials, hire and third party) against budgeted costs

  • Communicate with clients as required in the project plans and keeping them up to date with any hold points

  • Monitor the progress of the project against the work order

  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

  • Inform key stakeholders of project progress

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Manage the Project Managers and Project Co-Ordinators
