Subsea BASKETS

Rental for seabed clearance, with credit for reusable equipment

Legasea's refurbished subsea baskets (5,000 kg max payload, 7,500 kg max gross weight, 2,500 kg tare) are available to rent for decommissioning and seabed clearance scopes. Each basket is individually identified and traceable.

 

When baskets return carrying recovered equipment, we assess it at our permitted Westhill facility. Equipment that we can clean, refurbish and recertify for reuse is credited against your rental, which can significantly reduce the net cost.

 

How it works:

1. Rent baskets for your recovery campaign.

2. Return them with recovered equipment, using compliant transport and documentation.

3. We assess, refurbish and recertify what can be reused.

4. Credit is applied against your rental.

 

What we don't accept:

NORM-contaminated items are outside this service and cannot be accepted at our facility, but these can be routed to our permitted vendors upon request.

 

Credit depends on equipment type, condition and assessment outcome, and is subject to agreed terms. Legasea operates under SEPA Waste Management Permit WML/L/1195912.
