Trainee Service Technician

Job Role: Trainee Service Technician

 

Location: Echt, Aberdeenshire
 

Reports to: Workshop Manager
 

Job Description:

 

Under guidance, learn to follow Legasea work instructions to conduct to exceptional standards; disassembly; diagnostic and testing work; repair and assembly of subsea production equipment.  You will be trained to be multiskilled in three disciplines, Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic.

 

Flexibility in the job role is essential, along with good attention to detail and an ability to work safely and efficiently to deliver a quality product or service which exceeds all of our customer requirements.  Some experience in a workshop is desirable, but training needs will be delivered and assessed as required.  

 

Since Legasea is a sustainable organisation, a passion about the environment, the Circular Economy and reducing waste is essential.

 

Training will be provided in order to learn how to competently complete the following:

 

Responsibilities:


•    Test and assembly operations.
•    Refurbishment and repair and new build of subsea assemblies. 
•    Electric Diagnostics
•    Electrical Connector Terminations
•    Hyperbaric testing
•    Hydrostatic Testing & Flushing 
•    Hydraulic Torquing 
•    Waste Management

 

Knowledge & Skills:


•    No formal experience required
•    Desirable to have had work experience within a service company but not essential
•    Desirable to have mechanical experience but not essential
•    Knowledge of machinery and tools
•    Aptitude for problem solving
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
•    Ability and openness to learning new skills
•    Honest and open work ethic
•    Basic & role specific HSE knowledge
